Gator Glue tips needed

I use Gator Glue on my canopies, and I agree it works well.  I tried it for etch on a kit, and wasn't that happy with the results.  I found that the pieces would kick loose pretty easily, and I didn't have success with etch-to-etch either.

I've switched to Gorilla Glue (which is a different beast altogether) if I need to attach etch to plastic.  It's a medium thickness cyano glue, with a bit of dissolved rubber in it while gives it decent shear strength.

Crap;I forgot to say that Elmers now makes a crystal clear school glue which should be perfect for attaching clear parts.I'm told it dries crystal clear.The next time I go to wallyworld I'll be getting me some o dat.As far as using GatorGlue for attaching clear parts;I've not tried that.You can also use Future,I've done that before and works quite well.I think I've covered everything.Getting old sucks,gotta bad case of CRS(can't remember s**t).

Tony,I use a fine pointed brush to apply GatorGlue like a #1 or a #2 brush.I apply it to the plastic part then I place the PE part,move the part into  position and let the glue do its thing.The stuff will dry tough as nails and if you get some excess on the model just take a wet brush and that will clean it up....do this after the etched part has set up.Sometimes though I won't even bother with the clean up.I love the stuff and I've been using it for over three years.

But I am all thumbs to using it correctly. I use the end of a hobby knife or toothpick to apply the glue.
I think it can be used for canopies but I have not used it well enough to try it.

Hi folks

I picked up some of that Gator Glue and wanted some advice on how best to use before I botch something.... Things I'd like to use it for:

- Gluing photoetch

- Glueing clear canopy to their mounts (ie. F-5F jet)
