Nice one, Bill! I love that old kit. I built one as a kid and had a blast going on strafing and bombing missions in the back yard with it. It was that box art, too!

Ron - I feel the same way.  A lot less pressure on you building a $20 kit you got on sale then $120 kit. Yes I acknowledge there usually are vast differences, but the older kits remind me of the fun I had building them way-back-when.

Looks really good Bill! Call me crazy but I like the old kits, put the instructions in a frame and you have a great display base for the old kit.

Incidentally, WR-L also happens to be the initials of the builder.  What a coincidence!

I hope you had fun with it, Bill, even though it took a little longer than you had hoped.

Yes, this an original 1967 Monogram F-51D in 1/32 complete with the original 'Blue Box' artwork.

The decals were vintage too... as in useless.  I pieced some together from some Hasegawa kits I had, and contributions from Lee and Ronnie (Thank you both).
