Congrats to Matt for being awarded the Haywood Griffin Most Improved Modeler Award. Jon had the golden touch as only his picks where stolen in the gift exchange. No Monogram tomcats this year or fights. The Eboard is the same minus Lee K and he is replaced by Tony. We thank Lee for all his years of great service to the club.

Congrats Matt on your award. I wish I could have gone to the ES Christmas party this year but had to work and was unable to get the day off. But I am sure it was a great time for all.

Last Month's Meeting

Ron Verberg did a very nice demonstration on how to replicate water in dioramas.

This Month's Meeting

It's time again for our annual Holiday meeting:

2013 Model Year in Review.  Please bring in all the models you completed in the past year.  We will have a large display in the center of the room with show 'n' tell devoted to the completed models.
Holiday Gift Exchange.  This is a voluntary event.  If you choose to participate, bring a gift-wrapped modeling item, under $25 in value, and enter it into the lottery.  Chuckle with amusement as both stinker and really nice kits are raided from their previous recipients based on the lottery rules, which allows a person with a higher number to confiscate any previous selection prior to picking one from the pile.
Election for 2014 club officers.  President, Vice President, Treasurer, and Information Officer positions will be open for nomination and voting.  Interested parties are required to be a member of the IPMS/USA national organization (this is an IPMS rule) to be an officer.
Haywood Griffin Most Improved Modeler Award.  The club will honor the modeler who has shown the greatest improvement in skills in the past year.
Food!  The event will be catered by Smithfield Barbeque.  Non-believers in the superiority of North Carolina style barbecue will be offered a mediocre alternative.  Members are also asked to bring a dessert if they can.

It will be a fun time, indeed, so bring your models and your appetite and help celebrate the end of an excellent year for IPMS Eagle Squadron.
