Thanks Matt, I guess it is fairly true to the original construction when comparing the original construction photos to the model. The wooden leading edges of the outer wings must have taken a beating especially since they operated off of grass fields. I have to look into the wood grain template and the rivet template.

It's in Tamiya Model Magazine this month; said it's paint, his process is:
-a yellow/wood colored base coat
-a darker coat through an RB Productions photoetch "Woodgrain" stencil
-overlaid with clear coats, colored pencils and oil paints to make variations.

Very cool! Is the wood detail paint or decals? Not quite sure if the wooden surfaces as depicted are correct, but very cool anyway.

Scott posted this on another site and I couldn't help but post it here as well. As some may not know, the Mosquito was built mostly of wood. What an awesome way to show it...
