While I was at the Nats last month I paid a visit to Linden Hill Imports. They carry the full line of AKAN paint;they have acrylic lacquer and water based acrylics.
The only thing that has kept me from building my Eduard Mig-21MF has been getting that funky emerald green cockpit color to match the Eduard painted photo etch. AKAN #73006 emerald green is an exact match. These paints come already thinned, they spray on beautifully but they do take a tad longer to dry than other acrylics. Also the needle in the airbrush does not get gummed up from these paints.
I assume that they have a retardant in them that is why they take longer to dry.
You get 15ml for 4 bucks, since I'm lazy and don't feel like mixing paint I'll spend the 4 bucks. Highly recommended if you want to spend the bread,if you are cheap paint the cockpit yellow zinc chromate and call it a day.
