NADDACLUE, can you please sign your name to the post so we all know who you are?

I'd vote to build the Revell Tony. There was a time before the release of the Hasegawa 1/32 Ki-61 release when the Revell Tony could fetch $50 US and up. Now, I imagine it would go for $30-$50 at the top end. You've got a couple of ways to look at it: Just build it and have fun, or dress it up with some aftermarket and scratchbuilding. Or you can sell it for what you can get and put that money toward a Hasegawa Tony, which is a very nice kit and beats the socks off the Revell kit out of the box.

Here's a good review of the Revell kit.

It will be no surprise to Ronnie that I have one of the Revell Tony's in my stash...  :-)

Have fun!

Build it! The Tony was painted in various schemes. Natural metal finish, natural metal finish with wavy green lines or JAAF overall green. It really is a very neat airplane. I am building the Hasegawa KI 61 1/32 and I am getting ready to paint it this weekend. I have not settled on a scheme just yet. They were NMF on the undersides and then you can work up from there. Dave built a Storch and he did a fantastic job on the kit. That would look great as a DAK airplane.

I bought these decals for my KI 61. Originally I was going to airbrush the markings. Didnt work out to well and was an epic failure. So I decided to go with decals.

Hasegawa has produced this kit in various boxings so the overall $ value of the Revell kit as a collectors kit has declined a bit.  This Revell kit is of course said to be one of their very finest of all the kits they produced in the good ol' days of modeling technology.  It can be built into a really attractive kit if you simply want the experience of saying you did it and to have it on the shelf.  I also have the kit and wonder the same as you...should I build it or sell it.  Ultimately you'll have to weigh the options and make your own decision.  I look forward to finding out which you will do.

Hello all, first I would like to wish everyone a Happy New Year.  I apologize for my absence at the meetings but my job change had me working 3rd shift and we started on Sunday nights.  I have since changed employment and am currently on the day shift and can start attending meetings again.  I will not be there for the Jan meeting as I have no time to prepare.
I recently acquired an old Revell 1/32 kit of the Hein (Tony).  Is it worth holding on too or should I build this kit?  Just wondering as I am starting the Hasagawa 1/32 Fieseler Storch that I got at the same time.
