This would be an idea for a club build....MOVIE TANKS??
RonV

Not a bad idea. http://www.imcdb.org/ has looks to help with for any equipment.

Steve, I was mistaken, I am going for "Battle of the Bulge" with Robert Shaw and Henry Fonda.

Here is one that made it into "Patton", 5 years after "Battle of the Bulge".

I remember this photo of Robert Shaw's tank burning in the end -- most definitely an M47.  If you look at the diagram on the wall behind Shaw in one of the earlier screen shots, the association with the M47 is very definite.

HUMM - very interesting idea.
Movie Battle of the Bulge with Henry Fonda had M60s as the German tanks but used an actual M24 Chaffee for Telly Savalis chaaracter

There is a few more numbers as there was like 12 tanks used. The commanders tank was R-01.

Herk

Old coprocessor memory banks did not remember the switch - VERY obvious when you look at the scenes now.  Looks like you have two obvious numbers - 113 & 115.
TRIVIA:  Both scenes were shot in Spain.  The crew was in southern Spain on a shoot when they were told it was showing in a northern area - cease shooting and race north to get the Bulge scenes.

:-)
Wonder how many will recognize your build is a Hollywood "makeup" job for the M47 - Iron crosses, desert colors.  Actually Spanish M47s "rented" for the movie.

Not doing the desert scene as they used M48's for that.

I am going for panzer gray for the "Bulge" scene.

Haven't decide on the tank number yet, still have time.

Make sure you use the proper Iron Crosses - Wehrmacht not HEER

Yep, I have an Archer set for that.

The M47.

Italeri does a nice simple kit of it. If I ever finish mine it will be a panzer from the movie Patton.
