Tell who ever is throwing out the chaff to stop - screws up the aiming radar!!  Hard to keep on target!

Well its not my construction. Not to say I can do better. I attempted a few times to fill the gaps. I am just ready to move on to finished stage.

3 footer!??
Oh come now Ryan, I am willing to bet it will be more like a 1 footer.

Add another coat of paint. Need to mask the front glass area for a darker grey then assemble. Want to put this three footer in the finished pile. Might even be done by next weekend.

Yep, the fish are biting less as the water temp starts to dip. Doesn't mean I don't think about getting out there and landing the big one. Finished masking. Added the first coat of paint. Probably should have added a primer coat first. Oh well, next AMT Tie fighter kit, those are better then this kit.

Looks like you've got some momentum going there, Ryan--did the fish stop lickin your hook?   I can't wait to see this finished - sci-fi models are supercool..

Couple falcon builds going on at Arc Scifi boards that look great.

I've been looking at the 1/72 kits. Amazon has some good prices on them.  I understand may become hard to get as Disney clamps down on all licensed Star Wars products.

I've been considering looking on ebay for the Falcon toy and refinishing it.  A few videos out on YouTube on what to do to accomplish that.

It was in Return of the Jedi, but I don't remember seeing it but to be fair that is not one of favorite of the first three.

My buddy gave me a number of old SW kits, I think I have two X-wings now. Just not my favorite vehicle. The Fine Mold and Bandia kits all look great. Have a few droids to build and a Speeder by Bandai. I think a Falcon would look cool but those prices....ouch. Even the Harbro toy at about 1//48 is not cheap. I don't build enough to even think about spending that much on it.

Looks great Ryan. Cant wait to see it all built up. I started a X-Wing fighter quite awhile ago. Maybe I will pull it off the shelf of doom and start it up again. What episode was the Tie Interceptor in?

Ryan K

A buddy sent me his builder kit of the AMT Tie Interceptor. This was the gold plated kit from a long long time ago. It was their first Tie fighter and not that good by some accounts. I drilled out the blasters, filled in the upper rear window, add a single exhaust as the kit had a clear piece there. Used Elmer's clear glue to fill in some gaps. Painted the panels on both sides Tamiya black.

Next is wing masking, future front glass and masking. Plan to paint body with Vallejo Air 71.046 and dark highlights with 71.048.

Next I may build the AMT Tie Fighters, one as normal and the other as a Tie Crawler (trying figure out what tracks to use). Along with working on the M-41.
