I did all the water colors and "depth" on the flat surface and then just added a approximately 1/8 inch of caulk, then sculpted the waves with Plastic spoons. A motion like playing the drums with the spoons all over the surface. Guess it depends on the scale of the boat I suppose.

Yeah the silicone caulk works well. It dries quicker than the scenic liquid stuff or the gel paste. The only problem is its hard to mix in a color.

OK, saw a guy try this on youtube. Clear silicone caulk. Maybe do a demo after May meeting.
