Guys,I went to the convention web site and you can indeed enter your models at the convention. They recommend however, that you print out the forms and fill them out before you enter as this will speed up the entry process.Whew!!!!I was getting a bit bugged out.

Thanks Lee, But I see nothing on the website that they are doing registration at the convention? I hope they are for those people that are planning to do so.

They are sounding pretty hard core:

Whats new:
July 3, 2016
Mail-in registrations and mailed-in sponsorships must be postmarked no later than July 15, 2016. Online registration deadline is July 15, 2016. Any sponsorships postmarked after July 15 will be considered contributions to the convention.

Registration for the convention is now open.  You may register in one of two ways:

1. REGISTER VIA THE IPMS/USA WEBSTORE. Click here to go directly to the Webstore, where you may use the Shopping Cart feature to purchase your tickets for the convention, and add any tours and banquet entrees you want.
(PLEASE NOTE: The page at the link above takes you to the section with convention tickets. To add tours and banquets, click on the "Sub-Categories" sections near the top of the page.)

2. REGISTER VIA POSTAL MAIL. Click here for the registration form (requires Adobe Reader or another program that can handle PDF files). The registration form will also allow you to choose any tours you may want, and reserve your entree for the awards banquet. Please print out the forms, fill them in (legibly, please, if you do it by hand), and mail them with payment (U.S. funds ONLY, please!) to:
IPMS/USA 2016 National Convention
PO Box 211605
Columbia, SC 29221-6605
MAIL-IN REGISTRATIONS MUST BE POSTMARKED NO LATER THAN JULY 15, 2016

Spanky, you can register at the site: You don't have to pre-register before July 15. The recommendation is that you print off the forms from the website beforehand and have everything ready when you arrive. That will speed things up.

Looking forward to seeing you and other Eagle Squadron folks there.

Thanks Lee.I did re-up my IPMS dues online just a few minutes ago.I sure don't want a repeat of the '02 nats in Va.Beach where I entered but forgot to pay my dues.Boy did I feel stupid.

I plan to go.

Spanky, you will be able to enter models at the contest. The July 15 deadline is for registering for the convention either by mail or on-line. The website does not say if registering in person is okay, but I'd have a hard time believing you couldn't re-up your membership and register at the site. I'll see if I can find anything out.

Ron,I intend on going. We are going to get there on Thursday and leave on Saturday
after the awards.

So let me get this straight;there will be no model registration the day of the show?
And,I was going to re-up my IPMS dues the day of show as well. This might put a damper on my entering.

Hey, Who's all going to the Nats this year in Columbia SC?? July 15 is the registration deadline for both paper and online. There will be no "day of" registration per the website instructions.

I am going. I got a kitchen pass for the Friday and Saturday. There are some cheaper hotels near Fort Jackson for about $60 per night, but check their reviews!
