Scalemates has cost me a fortune over the last few years. That's how I found out about the Verlinden barrel for the M110. It also FORCED me to spend about $150 on PE, mods and accurizing details for an $18 Fujimi 917K.

On Cybermodeler, there's a build review of the Mach 2 B-57. Woof. Just ... woof. I've got my work cut out for me.

Nice. A good research tool is https://www.scalemates.com/

Mach 2 is French for plastic after a dog ate it. Run away. 😂

I was out of town for a couple days last week. When I got back, I found that the Model Genie had visited our PO Box! Woot!

A bunch more dudes for Jennifer!

I already have 2 of the AFV Club U-2A kits. I haven't done a detailed comparison yet, but I think the only differences between the kits are the spine fairing, the inclusion of the fabled "Type B" camera with the C, and of course the decals.

I've never done a Mach 2 kit. Man, is the surface rough. Much sanding in my future. I'll hook up the little DeWalt sucker-puffer at the bottom of the photo to my spray booth when I work on that one.

I'm not really sure what I'm going to do with the B-57G. I'll have to compare some pieces (canopy, wheels, etc.) with the Mach 2 kit to see if there's anything that looks better.

Nice to see you all on Sunday.

Ciao!
