My condolences to Spanky's family. He was quite a character and a heck of a modeler. I didn't know he was a fellow MTSU Blue Raider.

Sorry to hear about Spanky's passing.  He was a gifted modeler -- one of the best in the world in my opinion.  He also was quite a character and one of a kind.  I hope he's enjoying that big hobby shop in the sky.  Vaya con dios, amigo.

So sad to hear about Spanky. He was quite the artist with models. I'll sure miss him. He made me so much better as a modeler.

Longtime Eagle Squadron member James "Spanky" McFarland passed away this past Saturday Oct. 10. Spanky was a prolific airplane and armor modeler, and he won many awards at all levels with his high-quality work. He will be missed. He is survived by his sister Ann who lives in Raleigh.
