Au-revoir, go-pher....

When I get around to building that beast, I will sit down with you and make a master list of what should and shouldn't be fixed.  I'm still torn as to what finish -- overall aluminum lacquer or a SEA scheme.  That will make a definite difference in what accurizing and what aftermarket needs to be procured.  Trumpeter never makes it easy, do they?

It was about as successful as Bill Murray's gopher eradication project in Caddyshack.

F-102 exhaust is from Master Details. Very nice set. If you want the earlier style of AB nozzle, Aires just released one.

The F-102 exhaust is from where?

It will be interesting to see the results of the divot eradication project.

Almost have the Hunzilla ready to prime! I've got to go back and redo the reinforcement band aids on the fuselage. There are supposed to be four layers, and I used .005 styrene, but its still too thick. The glue melted the plastic, too, so I'm going to strip it all off when the plastic hardens and then try some foil. Then all I'll lack is to add the gunsight and windscreen, then start masking.

Also finished fixing the tail, added the missing part of the drag chute cable channel, and glued the afterburner nozzle on.

BTW, Lee, you're right, the Renaissance wheels are still a little too big. They need to be turned down another 1mm or so. If the model sits OK on them, I'm just going to hide them behind the drop tanks.
