AFV also released the Skybow 1/48 stuff.  I just bought the AFV Early Tiger I at Spruebrothers.

Thank you Ryan

Thanks gentlemen.  I want to build an eastern front diorama of 1942 Leningrad with a KV-1 and a Tiger going at it.  I don't mind working in 1/48th.  I came across Skybow in my kit search.  It seems like these kits are tough to find.  Does anyone know anything about them and who has them for sale?

Skybow is no longer but most of there kits were re-released by AFV at least in 1/35 scale. Tamiya and Trumpeter/Hobbyboss but make a few KV's in both 1/35 and 1/48.

You can't go wrong with Tamiya.  Dragon's instruction sheets can be very confusing and the placement of small parts is sometimes left off.  Don't get me wrong, I love Dragon, but Tamiya always good choice.

I like to try a 1/35 Dragon tank.  I am looking at their Tiger I, Initial Production s.Pz.Abt.502 Leningrad Region... http://www.dragonusaonline.com/item_detail.aspx?ItemCode=DRA6600.  What do you recommend?

Since it is not out yet so its hard to say how the kit will be. I think it will be similar to http://perthmilitarymodelling.com/reviews/vehicles/cyberhobby/chc6286.htm

My concern would be if this your first armor kt, esp. Dragon is the large parts count. Dragon reuses lots of sprues, sometimes the same letters and the drawings can also very confusing.

I would recommend a Tamiya kit, esp the early year kits. Low part count, easy instructions and usually a good fit.
