It sounds like he was a ball turret gunner - I am SURE he will have some VERY interesting stories.  Since he flew out of Italy where the Tuskegee Airmen were, it would interesting to know if he was ever escorted by them.

Rudy is my mailman. He's still working at 86 and going strong. I had a chance to talk with him about some of experiences, including Me-262 sightings and being on one pf the raids over Ploesti! He's open to coming out and chatting with us once we start  our formal meetings back up.
