After some more searching and closer examination of the pics of the sprues, the currently available DH.4 and DH.9, can only be built as RR Eagle or Siddeley Puma engined versions. A dedicated US Liberty engined version DH-4 is supposed to be in the pipeline. (The switching between "periods" and "dashes" is deliberate as it seems to be the correct way to differentiate between US and British built/engined machines.)

The way the sprues of the current versions are laid out, it looks as though if you bought a DH.9 kit, you could build a DH.4 with Eagle or Puma, a DH.9 with either of same 2 engines, or a DH.9M passenger/mail plane (Eagle-engine). A dedicated DH.9M kit is (or soon will be) in issue also. This is the plane the Brits used to ferry officers to the Armistice talks.

I'm looking forward to the DH-4 and D-9A, and hope they can give us a DH-4B version, too.
