There are a number of places...the next public event will be in Statesville.  We usually go to living history timeline events and hold public battles.  We do alot of private tacticals all around NC and Va...there are a few in SC as well.
I'm usually at public events such as modeling shows, gun shows, and other events where military displays are welcomed.  I try to dispel the myths of the war, since we all know that the winner writes the books, educate the public and kids in general to keep the memory of our vets alive in the hearts and minds of all.

Hi Matt,

It was nice meeting you on Sunday so welcome aboard to the club and to our forums area. As you mention those are pretty interesting items you have. Where does one go to do WWII re-enactments ?

regards,
Tony

To all,
I am new to Eagle Squadron and I met some of you yesterday.  I just want to let everyone know that I have a real good source of reference material for WWII German.  I have William Green's book Warplanes of the Third Reich, I have a ton of division history books with very good "in field" pictures.  I am also a German WWII reenactor with a large collection of actual materials used in the field.  I have a Mauser, Luger, Mg 34 and 42.  I have all the uniforms including the Heer and SS camo patterns.  I also have a large collection of radios, optics, and vehicle gear.  Anyone that wishes to have pictures or books to borrow please let me know before the meetings.  I can either bring in the actual piece or take pics and either post them or email them to you.
I have a number of pieces under construction, all German WWII armor or artillery.  For anyone that has seen it I have had the 1/35 Soar Art Dora rail gun on display at Hobby Masters in Raleigh.  That is my major build under construction since there were many hands on it while on display I have major repairs to do.  I need some advice on making brass rails without the previously soldered joints coming apart.
I have been laid off so a resistance solder piece is out of the question.  I will be bringing my Stug III and my VK 4501 command Tiger (Porsche chassis, Tiger I turret) to the next meeting for any comments.  I have thick skin so constructive criticism and be levied and listened too.
