That finish looks great! Especially the shaded panels!

At the risk of a bad pun, It qualifies  as a "Gorgeous "George! I'm confident that anyone under the age of 55 won't get that one, unless you're a wrestling history buff.

Great Job, BIll. This A/C was a classic example of too little too late for the Empire of the Sun.

Thanks for the input fellows. Clyde I will try your paint chipping technique on my next plane. I was not real excited about the way mine came out as far as the chipping effect goes. I think I went to far this time and next time I will be a little more subtle.

The George is such a brute of an airplane -- it looks menacing.  You did a really nice job on that model, Bill.

looking real good L2. try that technique we discussed on your next jap plane.

Looks good Bill, the George is a favorite of mine too and that paint trick really made the colors pop.  Be sure and bring it to the next meeting.

Looks very good Bill.  The worn panel lines add a great contrast to the green.

I just finished up this kit and it was a real nice kit to build. A nice break from the 1/32 scale. I finished the model with Model Master enamels, IJN Green, with some post shading, paneling, and a wash. I did add a touch of dark blue to the IJN Green to coax the color out a little and play with it. The kit is straight from the box with kit decals. I find Hasegawa decals to be pretty good with some micro sol to help settle them in. The George was a very formidable fighter but like the Dora "to little to late" for the Empire.
