Classroom 126A, Engineering Tech Building, Wake Technical Community College

Last Month's Meeting

Clyde Mills gave us an excellent demonstration on how he creates a natural metal finish for his aircraft models.  The fascinating (and tried and tested) secret ingredient is Testor Metalizer Thinner mixed with Tamiya gloss black acrylic paint as a primer.

This Month's Meeting

B-24 crewman Rudy Tempesta will be our guest, giving a lecture about his days with the 484th Bomb Squadron, based in Italy during World War II.  We will be building a model of Rudy's Liberator as part of our Veteran's program.  Woody Griffin is coordinating the volunteers.

RDUCON 2011

Planning sessions begin this week for RDUCON 2011.  This will be a regional contest and should see a greater number of model entries and general attendance than our previous two events at Wake Tech, so preparedness will be essential to allow us to handle the numbers smoothly and efficiently.  Please volunteer your time to make this contest as good as it can be.
