My Hind is twisted! (c;
Yes, the big Trumpeter kit does have the proper twist in the fuselage. Very visible from head-on. I wondered if anyone would notice when judging, but never heard any comments.

Per my reference on the Hind, there's a 2°30' inclination to starboard (by design) to reduce bank and sideslip in forward flight.

Wow, wonder if it was planned that way, of if there was a jig problem at the factory.

For years there was a Navy P-3 Orion flying around that had had a replacement tail section installed (from the aft pressure bulkhead back.) When they did the repair, the "missed" the alignment by several rivet holes and the bird had a similar twist. Was told it was only really noticeable when looking back out of the upper cockpit escape hatch and didn't really affect the flight characteristics much.

I checked the monogram fit and it looks straight with no real way to offset even if I was to be so bold

I think if you cut along the panel line under the engine outlet from the cockpit back to the where the engine hump flows back in the tail. Remove say 1/8" or so from one side and add 1/8" or leave it along the other side to get so of the twist.

Course if you could work that out you could sale fuselage halves with the tail and twist correction.  8)

Interesting...I don't think I'll try to incorporate that...it would bring up an interesting judging point for alignment....how many would know it should be off a bit ?

I think only a small group of Hind fans would know. For most it took Ken's photo to show the issue and make believers out of them. IIRC only the new Zvezda kit has this off set, all others including the wonderful Hobbyboss and the large Trumpeter kit don't have the twist.
