Make to following changes to the Sicily kit for a Marine tank. Replace the road wheels with the pressed 6-spoke wheels like in the PTO kit (sprue V);  use the solid drive sprocket plates (part 31):  do not use part MA 15 in step 5; Use US type Radio antennas:  delete the turret bustle box (parts E-9, 10).  In step 12 delete parts:  MA1, 11, 5, 19, 4, 25, 16, 17, 2, 8.  You will need to scrounge some US front fenders from another kit or PE set, and scratch some sand shield mounting strips from strip styrene.  Replace the kit tracks with T54 steel chevron (the Marines used this track on pretty much all their Shermans).

Which one? We had talked about the Sicily III w/A2 PE and the PTO kit.

Sicily III kit is for Tarawa w/1st Tanks. Saipan w/4th Tanks. Guam and Iwo w/3rd Tanks.

PTO kit is for Tinian w/2d and 4th Tanks.  Peleliu and Okinawa w/1st Tanks.
