Don't know where theses kits came from (maybe Mike's stash) - but having gotten some kits from a REAL fire sale (my hobby shop in Arkansas burned)  - given time in a non habited area (habited = where you can smell the smoke) it does disapate and ultimately go away.

I hope to try out the AK paints on it in a short time. I will let you know how that goes.

Oh thank God!!

...still my attic smells like my chimney. ;)

FYI - for those concerned, the smoke has no effect on Tamiya cement.

Thanks for the heads up: I'll remove the decals and let the rest of big Spitfire kit air out in the garage for a little while.

Cheers,

Yeah. My wife wont let me bring them in the house to even look at! She said they stink. Oh well. Maybe a few weeks in the garage and the smoke odor may subside. Now my garage smells like Vegas!

I believe I know what your talking about, but after this summer in the attic you'll probably have to burn them

HOLY CRAP BATMAN!!!  These kits are stinking up my man cave.  I pulled any decals and stuffed them into the attic.  I suggest ya'll do the same ASAP!!  before the 'stink creature' gets you too!!!!!
