Looks great joe. I think you really capture the shades of the water as the ship moves through it.  Oh btw - the ship looks pretty good too!  :)

I used the Golden Brand, Extra Heavy Gel Gloss. :)

Hi Guys, Here's the USS North Carolina finished...

The gel medium performed wonderfully as a method to make a water base. I put down a base coat, painted it blue and light blue, then another coat of medium over the paint... once dry, this second coat was dry brushed with white and then futured to provide a glossy finish. I'm so pleased with the results, I tore apart my full hull USS Saipan to redo it as a waterline model!
