Title: 1/72 AMT F-100F
Post by: Bill L. on Mon 09/03/12 01:35 PM
While waiting for the P-38M to dry (Mr. Surface 1000) I thought I would try my hand at darker wing panels.  The thought here is to move forward and possibly have this jet done for the Sept. Meeting.

I was pleased with the way it turned out.

Bill, thats a very nice looking metalic finish.  The Hun is a very cool aircraft.  I look forward to seeing it.

UPDATE:  It's all but sealed, so I expect it'll be there Sunday.  A few minor imperfections to fix on the P-38M as well but that's what Saturday is for.

Nice job on the two tone!  Also the exhaust coloring,  cool feature of that jet.

Realized that was an outdated picture.  Still working some of the decal 'setting' issues.  Looks better already.  These decals were VERY thick and are having a hard time settling down.

Ah yes, much better.  I was going to suggest attacking that wrinkled fuselage stripe with Solvaset, but it looks like you have already tamed the beast.  The model looks very good.
