This is my Curt Bandle build project. The classic Otaki kit was upgraded with a Black Box cockpit, Squadron vacuform canopy, and True Details wheels. Markings are for James Flatley's -3 Hellcat as seen in a spectacular Kodachrome image taken aboard the USS Yorktown in August 1943. The airplane was filthy, which I replicated as best I could with washes, pastels, and subtle fading of the paint.

Looks really nice.
very nice :)
Good job on the Otaki Hellcat Lee. I think it's a very under-rated kit and one of the best Otaki kits. Looks like you did your usual quality work and I look forward to seeing it in person.
Outstanding Lee.
Very nice model Lee. Great work
Thanks everyone, for the kind comments.
