It looks like I have room in the van for people looking for a ride.  I am departing Kohls at 7AM and can pick up others at 15-501 and I 40.  I thik we have used the Home Depo parking lot as a meeting point.  If interested, email me at axisplastc at aol.com or give me a call.  We will be getting back late (1-2AM), as the awards will be after the banquet (which I am not attending).  I guess we will see all these models at the national in 8 months or so.

Good contest.  87 contestants and 500 some entries.  Stayed for 90% of the awards, left at 8:30, back to Kohls at 11:30, not the 1 or 2 I predicted (good tail winds). Venders were also very good.  My new SM 79 didn't do anything, but my older Ju-88A4 by Revell/Germany got third.

That was a good contest. And yes, the vendors were good!
Congrats to Shane on the win. And we did see Joe M. at the contest with daughter Katie. He's still doing PhD. stuff, and he is also exploring a couple of job offers.
Just to prove the old adage that you never know what's going to show up, I found it unusual that there were only seven 1/72 jets in total on the tables (and this was a regional). 1/72 single-engine jets had four entries and 1/72 multi-engine jets had three.
I'm a "maybe" for the Fayetteville contest. We'll see if Judy will let me out of the house. :-)
