Another paint target of opportunity from Cliff. Primed and ready to get 'BA Blue" !!
Bill L.
BA Blue with a 40% Testors Metalizer thinner. Seems to lay down nicely, but you need to be mindful of the distance between the air brush and the target. Too close and it'll run, too far and it goes on flat and bummpy (dry). May just stick with normal enamel thinner.

Added the (white then) yellow tips. Resprayed some BA Blue to cover the overspray but it came out too dry. Thats what testing on these targets is for... work out the kinks!.
Wonder if I can just 'gloss' it??

Nice work Bill. That will look real nice when done.

A uniform gloss coat might work. Try a tail or wingtip and see.
If it still leaves a line, you could try (very, very carefully) using 2000 grit sand paper to get a uniform transition from the oversprayed areas into the gloss areas, and then gloss coat it all.
Added the silver trim, touched up the white areas. I then sprayed with a Semi-gloss clear coat in preparation for decals, but not sure I'm satisfied with that. These planes were so shiny you could use your reflection to shave. I think I'll hold off the decals till I get the clear gloss to spray on. Time for a trip to the local Hobby Town.

Looks like the GLOSS coat (2X) did the trick. Going to try a decal to be sure. If that settles down nicely I'll keep going. If not I'll shoot another coat of clear GLOSS.
