Not a very positive review of this kit. Was really wanting to buy and build this one.

I thought it sounded at least on the positive side of neutral? Looks like it will be on par with the recent Revell 1/32 offerings. Looks real good for the $25 price tag.
Did we read the same review? Brett was pretty positive about the kit:
"The shape of the overall airframe looks very good. I am sure that we will see a discussion about the profiles and contours of specific details over the coming months. Revell has delivered another bargain large-scale classic with their 1:32 scale Focke-Wulf Fw 190 F-8. The final proof will be in the building, but this looks like a very well-detailed kit of an extremely popular subject. I can't wait to start snipping parts off the sprues!"
That sounds like an endorsement to me. :)

I agree with Lee K. - I thought the review clearly stated that 1.) you get what you pay for, and not in a bad way, and 2.) it's look pretty sweet sitting on a shelf next to their Spitfire (very loose interpretation).
The ME-109E and this FW-190 are my favorite German birds!
I think you should go for it Bill! I know you'd make it look great.

Ok I read the review again and I think it was a fair review. I will buy this kit and build it up in the future. I guess those were just test shots and not the production sprues. I was hoping for a "Tamiya" type review that their 1/32nd kits receive. But that would not make sense in regards to the difference in price. You guys are right it is a great value for a new tool FW 190 F8 and I will build it up at some point.
I am about to finish my Tony and started on the Tamiya Spitfire MKVIII. So I am planning my next build after the Spitfire. It will be the new Revell FW 190 F8 or one of the Hasegawa planes 1/32 KI 44 or N1K2. I have read the reviews of all three kits. Of the reviews the N1K2 sounds like a really nice kit to build and I have not seen one built up yet.
I will probably end up buying all three kits and adding to my stash! Crazy.
