I plan to build the colorful 2nd Recon 10th CAV hog. Somethings of note that I see, my .50 is move to the outside edge of the turret and I don't have the small grab handles at least not that I can see.

So those looking to do a M41 that fired shots in angry for the US, there was 5 used in Korea 1953.

Hello Bob & Stefan,
I have found that about 30 M-41 were sent to Korea to see how the tank worked in the extreme heat and cold. There is one case that 5 of them were called up to give fire support during the spring of 1953 when both the UN command and the Chinese were taking and losing different hills while the peace talks were going on.
Stefan, You are the campaign leader so it is your call. But I think that the model should be allowed as it was in the War Zone and did fight at least once that I can find.
If you want, I will go tomorrow to the storage unit where most of my books are (12,000+) and see if I can find out some more about the M 41 and what combat did it see.

I did find a very bad photo of the M-41 in Korea.
It was taken at a depot and from what I can make out they were cammo the same as any other tank. They had on the back what looks like PTC and a number.
The caption read " Provisional Tank Company which were numbered 1-30 have seen limited action at the end of 1952 to the peace of 1953." This book was published in 1955 and I only have 8 of the 40 chapters with no title page or anything else.
My other reference shows that they seen limited combat action and mostly were used for stress tests. I think that that means the 30 tanks were sent over to Korea to see how well they would hold up under the conditions that made Korea such a lovely place to fight a war.

Might be more after page 3 if yall want to look for more.

With the closure of Tom's Trains, does anyone know a shop that carries the Floquil Railroad paints.  I am looking specifically for "Dust" and "Dirt".

Regards to all

Not at that stage but probably brass wire. RB barrel makes some antenna wire cut to 1/35 scale 6' or 8' forget which length. Chris above used guitar string.

Bill,
I am doing the same with my antenna, but found this photo of a German M41 - open the file and note how short the radio antennas are.

Steve
