Title: Revell P-47D Thunderbolt
Post by: Bill L. on Thu 12/31/15 09:23 AM
Lastly for 2015....

So as I continue my journey down the 'Dark Side', dabbling in the 1/72 scale, I picked up this kit at RDUCON for $5 (new/sealed). I have become more enamored with the raw beauty and power of the P-47. You can put as much or as little(in my case) into these models and have a very nice display piece.

My photograph leaves much to be desired (sorry Lee K.) and the picture truly do not show all the details this kit has to offer. For scale I put along side Lee K.'s P-47N that I have on my display shelf.

I believe I will continue my training on the 'Dark Side'!

Now on to brewing a 'Wee Heavy' Scotch Ale!

Very nice Bill.  It looks large for 1/72, but there is nothing small about a P47.

Always thought the darkside was meant for 'targets'.

The build does look good either on the good or darkside.

Would a 1/72 German P-47 be dark dark side???

Hey Bill...good job.  As they say...different strokes for different folks.  You seem to be comfortable with the 1/72 kits so why not continue to produce them.  I look forward to seeing what you'll do next.

Oh yeah "Balls out." Great job Bill. I really like that plane and the one Ronnie did "Hun Hunter."
