Title: removing dried tube glue
Post by: Anthony Leger on Sun 04/10/16 10:09 AM
I have some really old kits of nascar models I picked up but they have blobs of tube glue on various areas...is there a good way to remove that without damaging the model?

thanks

Hey Tony - first try and scrape what you can with an Excel Chisel blade at a close angle (kind of pushing it off) being careful not to gouge the body.  Since the ol' tube glue turns plastic into GOO, you may then need to sand the remaining bits down before re-touching the paint or decals.

thanks I've cleaned what I can and am resorting to sanding and fine grinding....
