Title: What's the deal with posting pics?
Post by: JonE on Wed 04/05/17 09:57 AM
Ok, trying to post some stuff and I get this message.

An Error Has Occurred!
Valentine.pdf
You cannot upload that type of file. The only allowed extensions are .jpg .jpeg, .png, doc, .docx, .xls, .xlsx, .pdf, .

I have tried both jpg, jpeg and pdf with the same results. WTF? By the way, same with png and docx.

A little help here please.

My guess is that the forum has still not fully recovered from when it went down. Not sure what exactly the issue is but I see a LOT of broken picture links in older messages now. And as you noticed can't post most binary types.

Tony will have to look into this, as Robert said it's a byproduct of the upgrade. The older pics may be a result of the usage size.

Let me know what types of binary you want to use... I made adjustments the other day on various filetypes typically used while resolving an issue that was brought to my attention. Also keep width and height down as the forum never really liked the very wide possibilities folks cameras can shoot hence sticking to 1024x768 was fine same with file sizes keep them reasonable for fast downloads.

Robert, let me know what links you saw were broken as I would like one or two samples if still an issue to look further into it.

Whatever you did worked. Thanks Tony. Everything posted without an issue.
