Hope all had a good holiday.
Let's see if this helps generate a discussion, what do you hope achieve model wise in 2018?
I have a crazy idea to finish a number of kits. Hope one is a figure, some type of Marine Armor, a shelf queen and the club build M41, plus hopefully some more but that is a full plate for me.
I've decided to declare 2018 as my "Year of Sci-Fi Builds".
I'm going to try to do at least 6 sci-fi builds before December 31st...Including the Bandai 1/12 Boba Fett, which I've committed to for a Facebook "Big Ass Group Build".
I will carefully select and work toward painting better figures to accompany my models. Expand working with oils.
And, I will build what makes me happy, in the way I am happy, even if I never place a win at a contest again. Too much focus on extreme weathering, not enough good basic building.

Sounds like a demo on figures might be helpful this year, it's been awhile since the last one.
I might try my hand at a few figures.
First my easy one, the kneeling bomb tech. Hides the face easier. Get wins were you can. :)

The second one and was working on scene for earlier this year. I have decals for the digi camo.

In 2018, I hope to actually build some models! And also organize my stash and get the designated hobby space in working order after our house organization. Also begin the process of downsizing the stash by letting kits go that I know I won't build (already started with a donation of a dozen or so kits to our contest raffle).
Cheers!
