Sunday, December 20, 2009, 1:30 PM
Classroom 126A, Engineering Tech Building, Wake Technical Community College

Last Month's Meeting Highlights

Treasurer Ryan Koschatzky presented an overview of the club's finances as per IPMS re-chartering requirements.  We are pleased to see that our club is in good financial shape thanks to revenue from the past two RDUCONs.  Therefore, there will be no member dues for 2010.
President Tony Leger also led a discussion about the next RDUCON in regards to timing and format.  Since Wake Tech is renovating their student activity center for the bulk of next year, the next opportunity to hold a contest there is in 2011.

This Month's Meeting

It's time again for our annual Holiday meeting:

2009 Model Year in Review.  Please bring in all the models you completed in the past year.  We will have a large display in the center of the room with show 'n' tell devoted to the completed models.

Holiday Gift Exchange.  This is a voluntary event.  If you choose to participate, bring a gift-wrapped modeling item, under $25 in value, and enter it into the lottery.  Watch the ensuing hilarity as the Monogram F-14 kit once again makes the rounds, like an old fruitcake.  As in past years, gifts will be provided for all the children of members.

Election for club officers in 2010.  President, Vice President, Treasurer, and Information Officer positions will be open for nomination and voting.  Interested parties have to be a member of the IPMS/USA national organization to be an officer.

Haywood Griffin Most Improved Modeler Award.  The club will honor the modeler who has shown the greatest improvement in skills in the past year.

Food! The event will be catered by Smithfield Barbeque as a way to say thank you for all the hard work it took to put on a successful RDUCON 2009.

It will be a fun time, indeed, so bring your models and your appetite and help celebrate the end of an excellent year for IPMS Eagle Squadron.
