First, the door was razor sawed out...

Cockpit was weak, but I just scraped off the molded detail and flubbed some styrene in there. Nothing scale, just appropriate shapes and doo-dads..

Seat was thinned, and sutton harness was fashioned from aluminum duct tape, with holes punched with a waldron punch. Lap belts are eduard photo etch.

Things were Framed up and seams sanded out. Elevators were cut out and dropped. The lack of the characteristic gull wing spitifires displayed on the lower fuse wing trailing edge was just ignored. Tobbacco screens were added to the radiators. The chin scoop. radiators, and elevators were added, along with a door from the spares box, and its about ready for paint..
All for now...
