Joe M: Congratulations on you and Katie's successes in Roanoke. I have some questions for you to ask Rudy, if possible. Which raid did he fly in? I have all the planes and crew for the Black Sunday Raid 8-01-1943 and he is not in it. Must have been on one of the other raids. If you can find out the name of his plane, the nose art, and tail code number, we can build him his own plane. If he doesn't have these or doesn't remember. At the meeting Sunday, the guys said we will build him General Killer Kane's plane. Unfortunately, with the research I've done, if he wasn't on the Black Sunday Raid, then General Kane wasn't the leader, so I guess we'll build him a generic B-24; I have some beautiful decals.
Thanks, Woody G.
Hey Woody, Thanks re. Roanoke :)
I'll drop Rudy a note in my mailbox. I typically don't see him unless its the weekend. I'll also confirm with him that he'll be available for the October meeting.
Joe
Woody,
Confirmed with Rudy that he is available for the October meeting. Also, he is gathering information on the plane he crewed on.
Joe
Here's the info that Rudy supplied along with a photo of the crew he served with. Not too much detail on the plane in the photo, but some in the letters.

I thought the reference to the Tuskegee interesting!

Joe M: Appreciate you getting the information from Rudy, but when I click to open it says there has been an error on the PDF and I cannot pull it up, whatever that means, so am unable to view. Try to fix your PDF if you can, otherwise, print what he sent you and you can either bring it to the dinner or the meeting. Thanks, Woody G.
