Hello, Spanky. I'll look & see. I'll email you back one way or the other.
Hey Mike, thanks.I think the Tamiya kit has a ladder to.
The F-84 boarding ladder came as a photo-etched piece in the original Promodeler release of the F-84G. Lee Griffin built one, with quite a bit of effort, for the club build we did for General Norman Gaddis.

I agree with you -- the Revell F-84E/G might be the finest aircraft kit they ever made. It is a joy to build.

I built the tamiya f-84 and I don't recall a ladder being included.
Spanky, I have the Monogram f-100 ladder hanging on my plane. it also works on the f84 and your welcome to it. or you can copy it using evergreen round stock. let me know. Clyde
Hey Clyde, thanks I appreciate it.I was reading the kit review in the Detail and Scale on the F-84
and the Tamiya kit does have the ladder.I'm painting this with acrylics.Hopefully I'll have it painted by the meeting next Sunday,I think the meeting is next Sunday.

Lee,it looks like these planes didn't have many dis-similar panels judging from the model that was built for Norman Gaddis. For the anti-glare areas were the kit decals used or were these painted on?FS# of the anti-glare panel?
spanky
Spanky, you are correct. Like the P-47, the F-84 weathered to a pretty even patina all around. Remembering back ten years ago, I painted General Gaddis' plane with some slightly darker aluminum on one panel on both sides of the fuselage below the cockpit (seen in the photo above where the right side of ladder touches the airplane) and the refueling panel on the leading edge top of the port wing.
The anti-glare panel was painted with Olive Drab FS34087. I didn't use the decal.

Hey Spanky. I have a Monogram 1/48 F100 & it has a basic boarding ladder. I can bring the ladder to the Sept meeting. No sweat. Good luck with the "Lead Sled"
Thanks Mike.
