Title: Christmas tree ornament
Post by: JonE on Sun 12/12/10 10:33 PM
Hey everyone, just wanted to share with you a little project I am doing for some neighbors of ours. A tree ornament of their house. Same general plan as ours so it is pretty simple...Centex. They are boxes. I have started to paint and will post those pics as well when I am done. All materials are Evergreen model RR clapboard, roofing, etc. from Tom's Trains. I drew the windows in Illustrator and printed them out on my inkjet and sealed with dullcoat.

Thanks Lee. I just finished the painting and I am really pleased with it. Baby steps with the scratchbuilding....

Looks great...kind of makes you feel like the Jolly Green Giant with that house in your hand :)

Nice work! I can see a home business in the making. Making models of people's homes.

Very nice Jon.  There are a lot more panels in the model than I would have expected.  You've got a lot more patience than I do.
