Title: Roden 1:48 Fokker D.VII
Post by: Joe M on Mon 12/20/10 09:48 PM
Hi Guys,
Did some more test fitting and clean up of parts tonight on the Little Fokker. Nothing seems to fit on these Roden kits, so I'm test fitting everything and there's a bunch of seems and some flash to clean up. Overall though, the detail is better represented than an Eduard kit. The only thing I think I'll have to add to this is maybe a set of seatbelts.

Hope you like,
Joe

Hey All, here's a progress shot of the D.VII. The Eduard stuff has spoiled me when it comes to having to handle a kit like this from Roden! Nothing (and I mean nothing!) fits! Every part had been shaped, shaved, cut or, clipped to fit! I managed to use the kit decals (which I don't recommend), but had to use some pretty hot solution on them to get them to go down.

Overall, it's coming along though. I've got some touch-up painting to do and then the rest of the decals before final construction, rigging and weathering.
