models are a lot like treated lumber in that if you buy the wood too far in advance of its use it will likely warp. likewise if you remove parts from the sprue (wings and such) too far in advance of its use, well you get the picture. :'(
So Clyde,did this happen to you?I've had parts warp on the sprue as well,brand new kit too.

it did. how else do you suppose I come up with these pearls of wisdom. your kit must have been exposed to some extreme conditions or been of inferior quality. ;D
could it be from the packing of the kit where it was still warm and that put pressure on the sprues to warp?
I had bought the Tamiya gloster Meteor when it first came out and the left side of the fuselage was horribly warped.I tried to fix it by using boiling water and that did not even fix it.I took it back to the Hobby shop and got a new one.It to was warped but not nearly as bad.
