I finally finished this model. It was a hard kit to build. I tried a new method to get the finish a little more flat. The model was straight out of the box with no after market.

of course it was hard L2. anything worth it is hard but from what I see, its a show stopper. clyde
Looks good from here.
What is the difference between the ECR and IDS? Talking with Harald at HaHen Decals about the markings on the IDS and the photo he sent looks very similar to yours in scheme but for 45+20.
As always, a nice looking build. Out of the box, all the better.
Bill,
That looks great! Inspiration for me to finish the Italeri 1/48 Mirage III that I'm working on!

Very sharp model, Bill! I like the staining on the tail from the thrust-reversers.

Thanks for the comments felluhs. Ryan on the ECR Tornado the cannons in the lower nose were removed and replaced with electronic combat gear for SEAD missions and other electronic warfare tasks. The markings are from the kit and so I am not sure how accurate they are. I know Hobby Boss just released a 1/48 scale Tornado so I would like to see how it matches up against the Italeri.

Thanks Joe. I dont know if I will tackle another Italeri kit for awhile!
See, that's the real trick...... not that you finished a model, but that you finished an Italeria model!!!
Very nice work Bill!

Thats funny Bill. There should be a special category for this company. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd, in the Italeri category.
HAHAHAHA!! I like it!!! and here's something similar for Italeri:
"Challenging Modeling vs Modeling for the Challenged"! Not to PC but funny (I think anyway).

Very nice Bill That Italeri is not easy, but is great value for price compared to the HB kit :) you'll need to show me how you got those gear doors on for the main ones....It is on of the items stalling mine :(
