Title: Tamiya 1/350 Fletcher
Post by: mharviala on Thu 04/28/11 09:27 PM
I've been inspired to make a bit of progress on my Fletcher.  I'm using the Eduard etch set to add some detail, the most challenging piece of which was the weapon director.

Here are a couple of photos, which really don't show the details...

Hull now painted ... the frisket film worked like a charm for masking the hull.

Next is the superstructure painting.  I'm going to do that camo freehand w/ brush.

Looks good Mika, Fletcher class is my favorite "boat". Love the camo so far.

Moving right along ... (or maybe not)

So, Eduard doesn't provide me with enough rails to make up the amount I'm able to mess up.  The Czechs have a flawed estimation of my modeling skills.  Here is where Fletcher sits until Luckymodel sends me enough railing to replace what is superglued all over my workspace.

Yes, that is a nice looking Fletcher Mika. Those railings are a challenge even I'm not yet ready to attempt.

Nice Fletcher Mika! What's the final ratio of railings on the Fletcher to the railings stuck to the work bench?
