Sometimes when air brushing the paint will spit out when first released. The spots of paint are small, but noticeable under a bright light, especially with black paint. The question is, will future or dull coat hide them or do they need to be buffed and resprayed?
What is the easiest solution?

Paint spit. When I use acrylics this is sometimes a problem because of the quick drying time of those particular paints. A good rule to follow is to start to spray before you hit the plastic or have a scrap piece of plastic handy for testing paint consistency. When painting with the airbrush I keep a small glass paint jar full of windex handy. I will clean the tip of the airbrush often with windex to prevent paint building up on the tip of the airbrush.
As far as trying to use a gloss coat or dullcoat to mask the blemish it just depends how big the spot of paint is that hit the surface. Be careful though because I have found that trying to correct a mistake with paint only leads to another mistake and so on. Then you hit the recovering from disaster theory of model making going from mistake to mistake >:( You can wet sand it or rub it out very gently. It just depends on how much time you want to add back into completing the model. I hit this wall with my Hasegawa 1/32 Frank.
