Title: 1/48 A6M5 Zero
Post by: Joe M on Tue 07/05/11 08:54 PM
Still putting the finishing touches on the A-10, so it should show up in the "Done Bucket" soon, but here are a couple of pics of a zero that I've also been working on...

Looks nice Joe. Is that the Tamiya kit?

Very nice, Joe. That sure is a smooth finish on that puppy.

Cheers,

Thanks guys!

Bill, it's the Hasegawa kit - old one with raised panel lines.

Lee, I read a tip about loading a drop of retarder to the paint cup of my airbrush before spraying, since I use mostly acrylics. Seems to work well :)

Yep, I've heard that before as well.  It slows down the drying time and allows the paint to flow out a bit before it cures.  Definitely helpful, particularly with a gloss finish.
