Title: USO-NC Black Tie
Post by: JonE on Thu 09/08/11 07:16 AM
Hey everyone, I need some help for a great cause. Short notice, my apologies. Below is an e-mail I sent to Mike at Hayes for some assistance from the boys in Fayettville as well.

Hey Mike,

Thanks for your willingness to assist on this. The USO will be holding their annual fund-raiser on Oct 7 and we are looking for built kits to give each of the honored members (bios attached) - 1 for each: Army, Navy, AF, Marines, CG, and National Guard. Given the timing, they don't have to be a representation of "their" vehicle or craft, just within their branch. These don't have to be museum quality, just a nice build, clean. If you cannot open any of the attached, please e-mil me and I will open and save back to an older version for you or if you have a FAX, I will send you instead.

We are also looking for built kits to be sold during their silent auction phase of the evening. Visit uso-nc.org for more details.

Reach out to me day or evening at 919-538-3348.

FYI, I am building an M1117 MP vehicle for my son that I will finish and donate for SP4 Southern, National Guard MP.

Many thanks,
Jon

I have an F/A-18C in CAG markings 1:48 scale I can part with (so I can make another :)) and 1/72 Corsair made some time ago... Both are decent looking.

I'll post a reminder in the newsletter.  I'm still donating my 1/48 scale CH-53E Sea Stallion.  It's quite a large model.

Jon, Post some photos from the USO Black Tie affair! We would like to see the recipients being awarded the models.
