Title: Color Mixing
Post by: Herk on Sat 05/02/09 09:49 PM
Can any one give me some advice on creating "Pearl white".  The instructions for my M-113 says the fuel tank is Pearl White.  Searching online doesn't show any good color photos to give an idea of this color.  The interior of the 113 is a Japanese Cockpit Green.

Thanks for ANY assistance.

The first one M113 on page2 shows a good pic of the fuel tank. It looks similar to the LAV which is a sea foam green. Talk to Jon, IIRC he spent some time in that box.

Tamiya does sell a color called "Pearl White" TS-45.

Thanks Ryan.

I know only TOO well what color Sea Foam Green looks like.  The control consoles in the Titan II launch centers and the radar consoles at NORAD were painted Sea Foam Green.  The AF must have gotten a really good bargain price!

I'll go looking for the Tamya paint as well.  Be easier than trying to mix the green.

The Prime Portal web site is a real trasure trove - thanks!
