Playing around today with soldering some brass rod. Need too bend the front arms to work a little better. It's not great but I think it might work just enough for the impression of a rollcage especially in 1/43 scale.

Thanks Joe, paint and lucky photography hide the flaws.

Lee - ya ya in do time. I did look at the painted parts as I was moving stuff around.
