Title: Thank you
Post by: DaveS on Sun 12/18/11 06:14 PM
I want to thank the members of the Eagle Squadron for the faith you have in me.  I will do my best to be a good VP, and I look forward to working with our new president in the coming year.  I have great examples of leadership to follow.  As I have said before I am always so impressed with the level of skill I see displayed by my fellow club members.  I also want to thank you all for the most improved modeler of the year award.  I love this hobby and  have so much more to learn.

Thank you,
David Shaw

I would also like to extend my thanks to the members. I never thought I would be the President almost a decade ago when I joined the club. I hope I can live up the high example that two previous Presidents have set. I would also like to like to thank Tony for this previous efforts as President and contest chairman. I look forward to working with David, Ron, Lee and Tony in the new year.

I think you will both do very well in your new positions. What a great party today to cap off another great year for the Eagle Squadron. The models today were just fantastic. Hats off to the outgoing leaders who have done an outstanding job. The gift exchange today was very fun and I hope whoever got that Roden kit builds it! Thanks to Bill L for the kits. See u next month.

While we're spreading out the thanks, I'd like to thank Bill Leary for making the early Christmas model flood happen.  He could've pulled a scrooge on us and just hogged all of them for himself but he graciously and generously shared with all the other plastic mongers like me.  The gift exchange was real hoot this year as usual and there wer no less than 6 model aircraft in 1/32.  That has to be a record and a trend pointing in the right direction to me.  Also a much deserved thanks goes to Lee and Tony for a combined total of 11 years of service as president(s) of the club.
