Guys: Check Fine Scale Modeler for February, our rising star, Joe Maranca, has an article on Craft paints. Very interesting and informative! Another question for Bill L or Ryan: I didn't get anything from the gentleman's stash that Bill brought in last month. What would you guys like me to build? Happy and Prosperous New Year with plenty of modeling to all. Anyone interested in 1/72nd scale kits, I'd love to thin my stash. If interested, mention what you would like and I'll see if I have it. See you next Monday at the dinner. Woody G.
Congrats Joe.
@Woody, you can still join the fun. Did you get a kit from Mike's collection at the contest? If you got neither of those, just build anything that is in your stash. The idea is to encourage building, outside of that we havn't really set up any rules, those can be flushed out at the Jan meeting.
HTH
Hey Woody! I would suggest you take a look at your stash and pick something that is either out of the norm, but you would always want to build (in other words maybe a tank or ship that you think is pretty cool but is lingering on a back burner, as an example) or actually anything you choose, and declare it a part of the 'CB Build'. 'What If's ' are strongly encouraged if you feel so incline.
The idea is to encourage model building as a team or club effort, not so much the 'what' you build.
Make sense? I'm still figuring out the which, what and how myself.
We'll discuss as a club at the Jan meeting, but figure the target date will be Sept. or Oct. That'll give everyone the summer months to complete it (should be enough for even Ryan - LOL - Just teasing Ryan!).
Hope that helps,
Bill L.

Am I correct in assuming it is all WWII prop aircraft? Any chance, if you have some spare time, you can post what you are interested in 'thinning' over in the 'For Sale or Trade' category? Might help generate some interest from the club members for you.
Thanks,
Bill L.

As the other half of the challenged modeler competition, can you really lay that smack down. :)
You either run with the big dogs, or stay on the porch!! ;D
Just starting trouble (again) - Bring it on Big Dog!!

Don't start something you can't finish..... ha :)
Funny - I didn't think the word 'Finish' was in your vocabulary. Oh wait - you meant 'Finnish' as in a 'Nationality' hehehehe..
Ok - that was my last dig before we both get a stern post from another member who shall not be named... (no, not Voldamort).
Model On!!
Bill L.
Thanks guys. I haven't even seen it yet as I'm in NY visiting family.
Congrats Joe!
Well done, Joe!
Ben
So does this count towards your PhD, meaning that you are published now in an official journal??
Nice job Joe!

Ron,
I might not be able to flesh this one into a dissertation, although I might be able to turn it into a demonstration.
I just got to see the article last night, man they hacked it up, but got all the main points across!
