Should be fun.  Modelers will pick it to death, of course.  It's what we do...

Kinda like reenactors....we picked apart BoB, Stalingrad and Shaving Ryans Privates mostly due to the fact that they portrayed the Germans as a batch of bumbling idiots, reality said that this was far from the truth.  Best movie I saw for that time period was When Trumpet Fade....old HBO flick but awesome.  The trailers for the movie seemed the same way.  The winners write the books and the truth lies somewhere in between.

I guess that makes us WWII history buffs & modelers "serious nitpickers".  Like M-60s for german armor in "Battle of the Buldge" or "Patton" - REALLY Bad!

I saw the flick a couple of weekends ago, it was what I expected.  I'd rate it as worth seeing, just leave your anal aviation education at home and you'll do fine.

I was gonna leave this alone, but somehow I just can't.  I was very disappointed over all, with the writing and obvious (and very poor) over-acting.

The only two good things in this film were the few actual P-40's P-51's (most were CGI recreations) and the fact that it drew attention to the contribution of the Tuskegee Airmen.

The HBO film is, in every way, far superior, and in my opinion, highly recommended!

If you haven't seen "Red Tails", don't waist your money. Wait to rent it.  Shouldn't be too long before it's on NetFlix.
